Joseph Schooling was the only one of the bunch that had a PERFECTLY flat line for stroke rate. Not sure of the significance of that or how that (if at all) translated into first place, but it is interesting nonetheless. Most of the other swimmers (Phelps, LeClos, Cseh) started out with a slower stroke rate and gradually increased it throughout the race.

Eddie Reese had his guy really well prepared! Congrats to Joseph and coach Eddie. Eddie also made the smart move to scratch the 200 fly to rest Joseph in order to focus and save all his strength for the 100 fly.
