Twins Mikayla and Jordon Kloth Commit to Delta State for 2022

Fitter and Faster Swim Camps is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.

Twin sisters Mikayla Kloth and Jordon Kloth announced in July their commitment to swim and study at Division II Delta State University beginning in the 2022-2023 academic year.

Both swim for Ames Cyclone Aquatic Club out of Ames, Iowa. They are both beginning their senior years of high school this fall at Ames Senior High School.

Delta State University is a public university located in Cleveland, Mississippi. The school is a member of the New South Intercollegiate Swim Conference. The women’s team took home the 2021 conference title.

Mikayla Kloth

The question that we have been asked so much is… “Are y’all going to swim at the same college together?” The answer is YES!!! I am so excited to announce my verbal commitment to Delta State University to continue my swimming and academics. I want to thank all of my family, coaches, and friends for getting me to where I am today. Can’t wait to continue my swim career with my twin! #feartheokra

Mikayla’s best short course times include:

  • 50 freestyle: 23.75
  • 100 freestyle: 51.38
  • 100 butterfly: 55.46
  • 200 butterfly: 2:05.16

Based on her best times, Mikayla has the potential to make an impact at both the conference and national levels. At the 2021 conference meet, she would have finished in the A final of the 50 and 100 freestyles and 100 and 200 butterflys. Her best times also have the potential to make an impact at the national level as she already has the Division II ‘B’ cut in the 50 and 100 freestyles as well as 100 and 200 butterflys.

One of my coaches once said, “Are you just going to let her win” my answer would be “No, I am going to make her work for the win” with this I am excited to announce my verbal commitment to Delta State University!! I would like to thank all of my coaches and teammates that have supported me through the years.#Feartheokra

Jordan’s best short course times include:

  • 100 backstroke: 58.03
  • 200 backstroke: 2:10.93
  • 100 butterfly: 57.74
  • 200 butterfly: 2:12.27
  • 100 freestyle: 53.83

Based on her best times, Jordon has the potential to make an immediate impact at the conference level. At the 2021 conference meet, she would have finished in the A final of the 100 backstroke, 100 butterfly, and 200 butterfly as well as the B final of the 200 backstroke and 100 freestyle.
