Two Oklahoma State Records Fall Over Weekend

Edmond, Oklahoma: 400 participants from all over the state participated in this year’s AESC Halloween Meet, at the Mitch Park YMCA Aquatic Center. The 3 day competition produced many personal best times for swimmers, and two state records were set.

The Oklahoma State Record for 10 and under girls was set in the 100 free by Piper McNeil (59:21). The old record had stood since 1988 (59:75).

The Oklahoma State Record for 11-12 boys was set in the 100 fly by Aiden Hayes, of Sooner swim Club (57:69). The old state record was (58:51).

Coming in December is the only chance Oklahoma has a chance to see elite professionals race is at the 24th Annual American Energy Elite ProAm, which will occurDecember 17-20, 2015. The event location is the Mitch Park YMCA/ Edmond Public Schools Aquatic Center in Edmond, Oklahoma.

Incredibly Aiden Hayes not only broke the 100 Fly OK state record this past weekend set in 1991.
Aiden broke a 2cnd OK State record in the Boys 11-12 200 Fly @ 211.85.
The previous record was 2:19.17.

Aiden also set the 11-12 200 Fly OK State Record with a 2:11.85 breaking the previous record of 2:19.13 Congratulations to Aiden and Piper on a great weekend of swimming!
