What a week! As a photographer, Olympic Trials is the pinnacle of events to shoot. The primary aspects I long for at an event that I’m shooting is emotion and colors, both of which ran rampant at Lucas Oil Stadium. Emotions are high as athletes achieve their lifelong dreams (and the reverse feeling of heartbreak when missing the Olympic team by a small margin), and the organizers blast all sorts of lights and colors throughout the venue to make for an epic presentation for both the TV viewers and folks that attend in person.

Here are my favorite photos from throughout the week, as well as photos from the last few nights of finals. Let me know in the comments which are your favorite and what you like or dislike most about them!

Great photos. Some of us will wait the few extra days for film to be developed and scanned if you want to shoot Portra 800 or CineStill 800T and 3200.

Great Pics! A few thoughts…

  1. Bacon chronically underestimated. Elite RACER who was always the favorite for 2nd in the 200 back IMO
  2. Thomas Heilman is going to be a superstar come 2028
  3. Michael Phelps looks like he has stayed in shape (…to make a run at 2028 200IM and 800 free relay….hopium…ok… just happy delusion)
