U.S. Water Polo Gold Medalists Participated In The 5th Tour de Pier

Two-time Gold Medal USA Women’s Water Polo Coach Adam Krikorian joined two of the best water polo players in the world, Gold Medalists Maggie Steffens and Kiley Neushul at the 5th Annual Tour de Pier cycling fundraiser held on May 21. The event was held at the iconic Manhattan Beach Pier in Manhattan Beach, California.

The Tour de Pier set a new fundraising record by raising $1.2 million for three cancer charities: Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, Uncle Kory Foundation and the Cancer Support Community Redondo Beach. The award-winning stationary cycling fundraiser raised more than $4 million for cancer research since its inception in 2013.

The Tour de Pier began in 2013 by Jon Hirshberg, with the event gaining more following and money for the cause every year. The event is five 50 minute sessions on the stationary bike, where you can ride solo for all five sessions or recruit teammates to help you finish. For all five sessions, the stationary bike costs (the donation) $750 at a minimum.
