UC San Diego’s Juli Arzave Named MPSF Athlete of the Week

LA JOLLA, Calif. – UC San Diego’s Juli Arzave of the swimming and diving team was named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Female Athlete of the Week. This is the first MPSF weekly award Arzave has earned.

The sophomore distance swimmer recorded four top-15 regional swims in Irvine, Calif, finishing fourth in the 1500 free (17.12.99), ninth in both the 800 free (9:01.39) and 400 free (4:27.23), and 15th in the 200 free (2:09.69) in the long-course Toyota US Open (Nov. 12-14).

Last season, Arzave qualified for four events at the NCAA Championships. She currently holds school records in the 800- and 1500-meter freestyle.

UC San Diego has begun a four-year transition to Division I and will complete their transition July 1, 2024.
