UND Swimming program adds 10 more

GRAND FORKS, N.D.– University of North Dakota head men’s and women’s swimming and diving coach Chris Maiello announced a class of 10 commitments to join an earlier set of eight already bound for UND next Fall.

“Again, coach Anthony Harris, our recruiting coordinator, did a great job of setting this class up for our program,” Maiello said. “I feel the class strengthens our distance group and reinforces some of our anticipated weaknesses in next year’s line up, both at the dual meet and conference level. This class also has front-line type athletes who will have an immediate impact when they arrive on campus. This recruiting class will influence the top end of the conference championships for years to come.”

The group joins a program trending up after successful 2014-15 runs by both the women and men. The UND women finished with a sparkling 12-5 dual meet record while the men went 6-6. UND is a combined 34-23 amongst both programs in coach Maiello’s two seasons on deck at North Dakota.
