In the Division III Centennial Conference, swim programs are allowed to begin practice on September 23rd. For the second year running, The Ursinus College Bears didn’t waste a second in getting started. At Midnight on September 23rd, they stepped up onto the blocks and started their season with a dive. Following a historic 2012-13 season where both the Men and Women finished second in the Centennial Conference, the Bears know they have to continue to step up to be in the mix at the end of this season. With several key first-semester match ups looming on the horizon, hitting the ground running is as important as ever.
Head Coach Mark Feinberg begins his ninth season at the program’s helm. He has guided the Bears from the basement of the Centennial Conference to championship contenders. His dynamic morning dryland and focused, fast, quality practices have rewritten the record board pushed swimmers of all levels to personal bests.
Ursinus College is a highly selective, independent, coeducational, four-year liberal arts college located in Collegeville, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1869, Ursinus sits on a 170-acre wooded campus approximately 25 miles from Center City Philadelphia.
The Bears open up their season with a home dual meet against Dickinson on Oct. 26.

So proud of our Bears! Looking forward to climbing to number one with the new Freshman Class!
Isn’t that an NCAA violation?
As a former swimmer of Mark Feinberg, it’s great to see him continuing to motivate his swimmers with some different stuff. Congrats Coach Feinberg!!
As a Ursinus Swimming Alum, I could not be more proud of how far our team has come over the years.
*insert “Back in the Day…” phrase*
When I started at UC, we could not hold a coach for more than one season, let alone an assistant coach, but when we got Coach Feinberg, things started to change for us. He’s been such a great commodity to the team and Ursinus community and I feel very lucky to have been coached by him.
I wish them all the best this season!!
