George Washington University is a private university located in Washington, D.C.. The school is a member of the Atlantic 10 Conference.
At the 2021 Atlantic 10 Conference Championships, the George Washington women finished 4th out of 10 teams, and the men’s team won their 4th conference title in 5 years. Head Coach Brian Thomas earned the Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year award. Junior Erin McCarthy won the 1650 freestyle as well as placed 3rd in the 500 freestyle and 7th in the 200 freestyle. Topolewski will have the potential to score in multiple events at the conference meet. Her best times also would rank her 5th on the all-time top 10 list at George Washington in the 200 butterfly as well as 7th in the 100 butterfly, 8th in the 1650 freestyle, and 9th in the 500 freestyle.
