Dear Friends of the Foundation,

2022 was an impactful year for the USA Swimming Foundation, and we are thrilled with the momentum going into 2023!

Thank you to the Champions Club members for your loyal commitment, and to our board members and longtime investors for your continued support. We couldn’t do our work without the dedicated officials and support staff who contribute to our safe and fun competitive swimming environment. Thank you to the Masters Swimming community for your continued partnership and advocacy for adult learn-to-swim efforts. Thank you to the organizations who have become charitable partners, helping us impact even more communities.

With your help, we awarded more than $900,000 in learn-to-swim grants to programs across the country, positively impacting adults, children and families. In May 2022, we were thrilled to welcome back our in-person Make a Splash Tour presented by Phillips 66, highlighted by stops in Pennsylvania, Texas and California.

Your gifts and investments helped us provide more than $1.1 million in support to our National Team athletes as they garnered tremendous success across the globe. American swimmers continue to inspire and motivate us all – highlighted by performances in Budapest, Australia and here in the U.S., exemplifying what it means to be a champion in the pool and in life.

In November 2022, a landmark partnership between USA Swimming and OneAmerica was announced, including support of our Historically Black Colleges and Universities grant program, making a tremendous impact for a community that traditionally has not had easy access to water safety skills.

The Community Impact Grant Program distributed $160,000 to 27 recipients to support clubs in creating access to competitive swimming opportunities. An additional $108,500 fueled programming for sport development, which is inclusive of regional coach clinics and regional diversity camps.

Gifts from supporters like you build momentum and excitement around the USA Swimming Foundation’s mission to Save Lives, Build Champions and Impact Communities. If you would like to learn more about how your gifts impact the lives of current and future swimmers, please reach out to the USA Swimming Foundation.

With sincere gratitude,

David Shackley, Board Chair, USA Swimming Foundation
