Huntington Beach, CA – May 6 – USA Water Polo Men’s Senior National Team Head Coach Dejan Udovicic has announced the roster for the upcoming FINA Men’s Intercontinental Tournament. Competition begins on Tuesday, May 10 at the Yokohama International Swimming Pool in Yokohama, Japan. This event serves as a qualifier for the upcoming FINA World League Super Final June 21-26 in China. Team USA captain Tony Azevedo (Long Beach, CA/Stanford/NYAC) leads a 14 man roster joined by returning Olympians Jesse Smith (Coronado, CA/Pepperdine/NYAC), Merrill Moses (Palos Verdes, CA/Pepperdine/NYAC), and John Mann (Newport Beach, CA/Calfornia/NYAC). The United States will open play against Australia on May 10 at 4pm local time/12am pt. That is followed by matches with Japan, Kazakhstan, Brazil, and China. Following the competition in Japan, Team USA will return home for a two-game series with Australia onMay 20 at Pomona-Pitzer’s Haldeman Pool and on May 22 at USC’s Uytengsu Aquatic Center.
