USD’s Krysl, IUPUI’s Barber Named Swimmers of the Week

South Dakota’s Colin Krysl and IUPUI’s Margaret Barber were named The Summit League’s Swimmers of the Week for their performances Jan. 10-11.

MEN’S SWIMMER OF THE WEEK         
Colin Krysl, South Dakota

Jr. // Bellevue, Neb.
Krysl earns his first career Swimmer of the Week award after recording a trio of individual event wins against league rival South Dakota State.  The junior swept the butterfly events touching the wall in 51.78 in the 100 and 1:54.55 in the 200.  He also won the 200 IM with a time of 1:59.36.

WOMEN’S SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
Margaret Barber, IUPUI
Jr. // Bettendorf, Iowa
Barber collects her first career Swimmer of the Week honor after capturing four individual first-place finishes to help her team win three-of-four dual victories.  The Jaguars defeated Xavier (200-98), Saint Louis (176-75) and league opponent Western Illinois (219-75).  On Friday against Ball State and Xavier, the junior won the 500 free (5:10.71) and 1,000 free (10:37.89), while taking first in the 200 free (1:55.78) and 500 free (5:11.28) on Saturday vs. Saint Louis and Western Illinois.
