USOPC Will Allow Public Access to Team USA House During Paris 2024 Olympics

Partnering with On Location, the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee has announced the new hub for U.S. fans to cheer on their favorite domestic and international athletes at the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Advertised as “Your Second Home in Paris”, the Team USA House is located in the scenic and historic Palais Brongniart, which is within Paris’ 2nd Arrondissement – the heart of the city. The 2nd Arrondissement is known for its importance as a business district, the Opéra-Comique‘s theatre, and Grand Rex – the largest movie theater in Paris. It is also within the near vicinity of major Parisian landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower, Louvre, and Notre Dame Cathedral.

Team USA House will feature Team USA athlete appearances, Olympic Games viewing opportunities, American and Parisian-inspired food and beverage, special Team USA celebrations, the Team USA Shop, and more.

More importantly, the Team USA House is well-centered on the Olympic Games venues. It is less than ½ hour away from the Paris La Defense Area, where the pool swimming competition will occur. The house is also a 10-minute drive from the Alexander III Bridge on the Seine, which will be the site of the marathon swimming competitions.

To gain access to the house, Team USA has offered travel packages to the general public that grant exclusive access to Olympic and Paralympic competitions. The two packages – “On-Site” and “Off-Site” – offer both Olympic Games tickets, along with access to the Team USA House during the ticket holder’s stay. These range from multiple-day bookings to single-day packages that allow for the same premium services, such as 3 or 4-star hotel accommodations, transportation to and from the Games, ticket bundles to specific sporting events, and tours around the historic city of Paris. The multi-day packages range in price from €4,140 per person to €19,445 per person based upon the number of nights and services that are part of the packages. More information can be found at this link.

At this time, all the published information is for the Olympic Games, which will run from July 26 to August 11 next year. The information for the Paralympic Games will be released later this year.

The Paris Games will be one of the most exciting sporting events in 2024, while also being Paris’ third time hosting the games, and the 100th anniversary of Paris 1924. Team USA looks to build upon its dominance at the 2021 Game and will look to continue its streak of winning at least 32 gold medals at each edition of the Games since 1948.

This appears to be a package provided by the Paris organizers (not necessarily Team USA). And like everything else on their website, it is pretty convoluted and difficult to navigate to exactly what you want (which doesn’t appear possible at this time). I am only interested in swimming events at this time, but it doesn’t appear to be possible to only buy swimming tickets. Hopefully I will get lucky when the lottery opens up in a few weeks.
