This week we are talking freestyle head position as it is one of the biggest inefficiencies that most swimmers learning proper freestyle find. The higher or lower your head is, the more your hips will drag in the water, therefore making you expel more energy. Never a good thing. Yona is using a catch up stroke for most of his swim, which, because it creates a gap in propulsion, makes keeping the paddle against his head easier.

Tarzan swam with his head out of the water and he out-swam alligators.
