VIDEO: UWCSEA’s Dragon’s Den International Meet Highlights

The United World College of Southeast Asia (UWCSEA) in Singapore hosted an international meet last weekend, the first annual Dragon’s Den International Swim Meet.

The meet brought together age groupers from 8 years old on up from across Southeast Asia. You can check out a highlight video of the meet above, courtesy of James Clarke on YouTube.

Trophies were given out to the top swimmers in each age group, based on FINA points. In addition, various team trophies were given out to the clubs that participated in the event’s inaugural year.

A few of the team trophies given out:

  • Top Supporting Club: UWCSEA Dover Phoenix
  • Top Visiting Club: Tanglin School
  • Top Overall Club: UWCSEA East Dragons

The meet took place from Friday, April 24 to Sunday, April 26th in Tampines, Singapore, and the UWCSEA says it will be hosting the event again next year.

The highlight video above, shot mostly with a GoPro, is a cool inside look at the meet, featuring athletes but also coaches, meet officials, event workers and more. You can also watch the video directly on YouTube by following this link.
