Villa Maria Academy won the girls team title by a pretty comfortable margin, while Lower Moreland won the boys  team title in a tight battle with Cathedral Prep. Cathedral Prep still had a chance for the title up until the last event, the 400 free relay, but Lower Moreland pulled out the win in the relay, and Cathedral Prep came in 3rd.

Hanna Everhart won the girls 100 free in a tight battle with Karen Siddoway, touching in 50.50 to 50.88. Everhart was out the fastest, turning at the 50 in 24.15 compared to Siddoway’s 24.73. Siddoway then came back faster, 26.15 to 26.35. Abigail Doss, a sophomore, won the girls 500 free, posting a 4:51.70 to win by 7 seconds. Doss led from the first 50, expanding her lead all the way through the finish.

Kate Luft took the girls 100 back with a 54.59, winning by over a second. She had the fastest split in the field on both 50s, going out in 26.33 and coming home in 28.26. That time puts Luft, a junior, less than a second away from Allie Szekely‘s 2A record of 53.80.

Sophomore Luke Mikesell took the boys 500 in a tight race with Danny Berlitz (junior), finishing in 4:28.28 to 4:28.67. Berlitz was leading through the 300, after which Mikesell took over and held off a charging Berlitz on the final 50. Mikesell and Berlitz finished 13 seconds ahead of the rest of the field.

Josiah Lauver took the boys 100 back with the only sub-50 second time in the field, 49.70. He had the best splits on both 50s, going out in 24.07 and coming back in 25.63. Ian Shahan, a freshman, came in 2nd with a 50.55. The 2A PIAA record sits at 48.55, giving Lauver a year to drop 1.15 seconds, and Shahan 3 more years to drop exactly 2 seconds to break the record.
