Rayann Jaryszak from Arlington, Texas has given a verbal commitment to Villanova University for the 2017-18 season, joining Andrea Fong and Emily Provenzo in the Wildcats’ class of 2021.
“I chose Villanova because as soon as I stepped on campus, I knew I was exactly where I was supposed to be. The academics are incredible and I absolutely loved the team and the coaches! I can’t wait to be a Wildcat!!!!”
Jaryszak swim for Fort Worth Area Swim Team under coach Ron Forrest, and for her high school, Fort Worth’s Nolan Catholic High School. At the 2016 TAPPS Division I Championships, Jaryszak contributed to Nolan Catholic’s fifth-place team finish by winning both the 200 IM and 200 breast. A week later she took sixth place in the same events at College Station Sectionals, picking up a pair of lifetime bests.
Her top SCY times are:
- 100 breast: 1:02.08
- 200 breast: 2:14.61
- 200 IM: 2:01.58
- 400 IM: 4:24.41
- 200 back: 2:01.99
