Joshua Brown, a high school senior from Winter Park, Florida, has committed to swim for Division I Villanova University. Brown will graduate from Lake Highland Prep School in spring 2021 join the Wildcats’ class of 2025.
Brown is a current swimmer for Highlander Aquatics where he is a Futures qualifier. At the 2020 FHSAA 1A State Championships, Brown placed 2nd in the 500 freestyle (4:28.77) and 7th in the 200 freestyle (1:40.76).

I can’t wait to see what I can achieve both academically and in the pool at NOVA. At the 2020 Big East Championships with the Wildcats, Brown would have had multiple finals performances with his current best times. He would have placed 4th in the 500 freestyle (4:28.77), 6th in the 200 freestyle (1:40.50) and 7th in the 1650 freestyle (15:48.49).
With these times, Brown would have been the fastest 200 and 500 freestyle swimmer for Villanova at this meet.
At the Big East Championships, the Villanova men placed 4th as a team and received CSCAA Scholar All-America team status.
