The Virginia men’s and women’s diving teams will compete at the Tennessee Diving Invitational beginning on Wednesday (Jan. 3) at the Jones Aquatic Center in Knoxville, Tenn., before the Cavalier men’s and women’s swim teams face the Volunteers in a dual meet on Friday (Jan. 5).
The Tennessee Diving Invitational will begin on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. with the women’s 1-meter and men’s 3-meter dives, followed by the women’s 3-meter and men’s 1-meter dives on Thursday at 11 a.m. The meet will conclude on Friday with the platform beginning at 11 a.m.
Friday’s dual meet against the Volunteers begins at 11 a.m. with diving scores added from the Tennessee Diving Invitational.

The Tennessee Diving Invitational will feature over 80 divers from 12 different schools, including ACC foe NC State. The competition will be the first for the Cavalier divers since the Frank Elm Invitational (Nov. 17-19), where junior Kylie Towbin (New Canaan, Conn.) finished first in the platform, setting a Virginia record with a score of 270.05.
Virginia and Tennessee last met in a dual meet on October 16, 2015. The women’s team topped the Volunteers 174-121, while the men’s team fell 210-90.
