Vlad Morozov Among Many Confirmed For Upcoming World Cups

World Championships silver medalist Vladimir Morozov join two women, Yuliya Efimova and Sarah Sjostrom, who brought home gold in Barcelona confirming their participation in the upcoming FINA World Cup competitions.

Morozov, who won silver in the 50 freestyle along with a bronze as part of the Russian 4 x 100 freestyle relay, is currently second in World Cup point rankings with Chad le Clos being the only swimmer ahead of him. It has been confirmed that Morozov will compete in the events in Moscow, Dubai and Doha.

Efimova who was amazing in Barcelona winning gold in the 50 and 200 meter breaststroke as well as collecting a silver in the 100 meter event is also confirmed to be participating in Moscow, Dubai and Doha.

Sjostrom who collected a World Championships gold in the 100 butterfly and also collected a silver in the 100 freestyle, has confirmed participation in the events in Moscow, Singapore, Tokyo and Beijing.

In Moscow Sjostrom will swim the 50,100 and 200 freestyle along with the 50 and 100 butterfly. There will be no Swedish swimmers competing in either Dubai or Doha and Sjostrom will be the only Swede competing in Beijing.

Another notable entry for the Russians in Moscow will be Ilya Khomenko who won the 100 breaststroke at the World Junior Championships. Danila Izotov, Stanislav Donets and Anastasia Zueva will miss the events due to injury.

Did Sjoestrom even participate in Berlin and Eindhoven?
