Wagner College head swimming and diving coach Colin Shannahan has announced the hiring of former Fordham standout Shannon Lulley as the program’s new assistant coach and recruiting coordinator.
“We’re excited to announce the addition of Shannon to our coaching staff this year,” said Shannahan. “She’s had tremendous experience as a standout student-athlete at Fordham and will bring a wealth of experience having coached this past year.”
At Fordham, Lulley served as the team captain and was an All-Atlantic 10 performer in three out of her four seasons while winning the conference during all four years and winning the 100-yard butterfly title as a senior in 2016.
Lulley was an 11-time finalist at the Atlantic 10 Conference Championships while earning NCAA B-Cut time standards in the 100 Fly and 200 IM. Lulley is still the program’s record-holder in the 100 Fly, 50 Free, and 200 Free.
In addition to her collegiate experience, Lulley coached at Ling Island Premiere Sports Camp and Team Suffolk Swim Club in picking up valuable coaching experience before arriving on Grymes Hill.
Lulley holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication and Media Studies from Fordham and will pursue a Master’s Degree in Business Administration while at Wagner.
