Powered by eight individual first-place finishes, the Wagner College swimming and diving team earned its fourth consecutive victory. and now sits at 3-0 in Northeast Conference (NEC) meets, following a 152-110 win over Saint Francis U on Saturday afternoon.

Leading the way for the Seahawks were senior Kirsty Hessing (Bloomington, IL / Normal Community) and freshman Wyeth Spike (Portland, ME / Casco Bay) with two wins each on the day. Hessing touched first in the 200 Free (1:57.28), ahead of senior Maddie McNichol (1:57.38), and also took first-place honors in the 100 Free (53.45).

Spike won two events for the second straight meet, winning the 200 Fly (2:10.96) and leading a Wagner sweep in the 200 Back (2:07.34), ahead of freshman Hande Kivanc(Istanbul, Turkey / Lake Forest Academy, 2:08.27) and sophomore Emily Moore(Temecula, CA / Great Oak, 2:08.74).

Wagner also swept the 100 Back, as Moore touched first in 58.92, ahead of Kivanc (59.47) and sophomore Kelli Boston (Roseville, CA / Woodcreek, 1:00.83).

Sophomore Coleen Higgins (Crozet, VA / Western Albermarle HS) took first place in the 200 Breast in 2:26.77, while junior Andrea Gustafsson (Malmo, Sweden / ProCivitas Privata Gymnasium) rounded out the Seahawks’ individual victories with a win in the 100 Fly (59.85).

Next up, the Seahawks will host Bryant and Central Connecticut, on November 3 and 4, respectively, at the Spiro Sports Center.
