The first night of the 2018 Christiansburg Sectionals featured just two races.

On the men’s side, the victory in the 1650 went to Zachary Smith of the Eagle Swim Team.  The 16 year-old went 15:46.67 to knock 1.69s off of his seed time. 2nd place went to Collin Pettit of the Radnor Aquatic Club with a time of 15:55.  They were the only two men who finished under 16 minutes, while Joseph Moll of the Lancaster Aquatic Club almost joined them, finishing 3rd in 16:00.44.

While tonight’s session was relatively short, there will be a full schedule tomorrow, including the 200 free, 100 breast, 100 fly, 400 IM, and 800 free relay.
