PULLMAN, Wash. (November 8, 2024) – Washington State Women’s Swimming claimed 11 of the 12 events in a 164-60 victory over Seattle U at Gibb Pool Friday.
The Cougars improved to 5-0 for their first best start since 2010-11. Junior Emily Lundgren led the way with three individual wins highlighted by setting a school record, a Gibb Pool record and an NCAA “B” time in the 100 fly with a 52.73. Junior Anna Rauchholz tallied two wins while WSU went 1-2-3 in the 500 free, 50 back, 100 fly, 50 free, 100 free, 100 breast and 200 IM.
Following a win in the 400 medley relay, the Cougars went 1-2-3 in the 500 free led by freshman Tatum Janning and junior Anna Rauchholz won the 50 back before Lundgren made history. The junior from Chula Vista, Calif. set a school record, a Gibb Pool record and an NCAA “B” time in the 100 fly with a 52.73, besting the pool record by over a second and posting the No. 20 100 fly time in the country along the way.
Freshman Darcy Revitt won the 50 free, senior Samantha Krew won the 100 free, Rauchholz claimed the 100 back and Lundgren added a win in the 100 breast. Sophomore Addyson Lewis produced one of the biggest highlights of the night, notching her first career win with a victory in the 50 fly before Lundgren won the 200 IM. WSU closed the night with a win in the 800 free relay but junior Dori Hathazi, Krew, senior Emma Wright and Revitt.
The Cougars will close out the fall season with the Art Adamson Invite hosted by Texas A&M Nov. 20-22.

Seattle U women’s swimming wrapped up two match ups in two days, dropping meets at Washington State (60-164) and Idaho (56-206). Despite the losses the Redhawks had several strong performances including a individual top three score from Sarah Cook.
