Everyone is so caught up on times, but the excitement of being an olympic champion will be what he remembers, not that he didn’t swim a best time/perfect race. Very happy to see him win gold after the silver in rio

Watching the 4 x 100 is so sad for me. Brown so over swam the front half and paid dearly from such an un-coached, rookie swim. Well at least a medal for USA girls.

Oh my goodness, Hanaoui’s reaction is just perfect. I can’t help but smile ear to ear when I see that =)

Absolutely unscripted and joyful. GREAT to see such pure emotion in a sport where personal or political agenda is rampant. The young man needs to come to the USA, enter college, get an education and experience the amazing spectacles now available to him. My top picks for him – UGA, UF, CAL and NCSTATE in no particular order.

He doesn’t NEED to do that. I’d argue whatever he was doing already seems to be working just fine

Take notes: if you’re an 18 year old from an African country out of lane 8 and you win an Olympic gold, this is the appropriate way to react.

Ahmed from Tunisia is such an underdog that he’s the only Olympic gold medalist with no hyperlink on his name for his achievements!

He didn’t even have a wikipedia page until yesterday.

Of all the stats – he didn’t even win like, juniors meets recently – for some reason the lack of Wikipedia made my jaw drop.
