All cameras were in focus for the biggest race of the weekend at the Orlando Sectionals meet on Saturday. There, the #1, #3, and #4 finishers in the 50 free from the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games went head-to-head-to-head.
The finisher order on Saturday was the same as it was last summer: Dressel won in 21.89, Fratus was 2nd in 22.20, and Andrew was 3rd in 23.32.
The top junior swimmer in the race was Bolles School senior Larry Salls, who touched 4th in 23.47 – just two-tenths off his lifetime best.
Watch the swim below from three different angles, along with a few other race videos from Saturday’s racing in Orlando:

It looked like in the videos that most people at swim meet were not wearing masks
MA with an anti mask post on Instagram SMH
Why does it bother you so much?
Until MA fixes his mechanics in freestyle, or at least learns some type of hip-driven technique that doesn’t fall apart each time he breathes, he will never medal in the 200 IM at international competition.
This clearly isn’t an endurance issue. Even MA once said that if he were to back off on the first 50, he’d still close in essentially the same time. That implies a technique issue, not something that more yardage is going to fix.
If he can’t commit to fixing his stroke he might as well dump the 200 IM and focus on the 100 FL–I think he has a 49.9 in him.
Even in a 50, when he’s tired, MA’s mechanics start to falter. Don’t think just changing training will allow him to close really well in a 200 IM, he’s got to fix his stroke.
Don’t worry he almost never breathes on a 50.
Yep, that left arm was looking awfully short.
Nice breath MA
