Watch: Kelly Kremer, Kierra Smith, & More Talk Big Tens for Minnesota

2017 B1G WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIPS

The team from Minnesota has already made their mark on the 2017 Women’s Big Ten Championships, setting a new Big Ten conference 200 medley relay record in the very first race of the weekend. After night one’s two events, the team leads the conference with 118 points to 2nd-place Michigan’s 116, but there is a lot more swimming to come over the course of the week.

Before the beginning of the meet, however, members of the Minnesota team, including head coach Kelly Kremer, senior Kierra Smithsenior Breanne Siwickijunior Danielle Nacksenior Lexi Tenenbaum, senior diver Yu Zhou, and freshman Lindsey Horejsi came together to give a team preview of the Gopher’s upcoming meet.

Kremer talks about the team’s process coming into Big Tens and outlines his excitement for newcomers Chantal NackTevyn Waddell, Horejsiand Erin Emery

“We just couldn’t be more excited to put an exclamation point on things coming up into February and March,” says Kremer.
