The spectacle that has been the 2021 regular season of the International Swimming League is coming to a close. 6 teams are already locked into the play-offs set for Eindhoven with two more yet to be chosen in Match 11. Now that Match 9 and Match 10 are over we can relive some of the incredible performances and get excited for what comes next.
Match 9
Match 9 showcased Energy Standard in their 4th and final meet of the 2021 ISL regular season. Energy Standard won the match keeping their perfect win-streak alive (4-0). Among the best swims from Match 9 were Evgenia Chikunova‘s World Junior Record in the 200 breaststroke, Ben Proud‘s victory of Kyle Chalmers in the 50 freestyle, and Evgeny Rylov‘s victory in the 50 backstroke skins.

Match 10
Match 10 saw the Aqua Centurions get their first-ever match victory as well as an Italian Record in the men’s 4 x 100 medley relay. Nicholas Santos also swam the 6th-fastest 50 butterfly ever, though there is no video available for that race. The Match 10 victory allows the Aqua Centurions to move on to the play-offs in Eindhoven while Iron, the Tokyo Frog Kings, the DC Trident, and the New York Breakers will compete in an 11th match to determine who advances and whose season comes to an end.
