Sates was a 4:08, not a 4:07.
Lasco probably didn’t touch the wall on the back to breast turn. Marchard split 28 low and pulled away from Lasco. Watch the video, I don’t think he split 27.9 on the breast leg.
i’ve only recently learned the crossover turn but there have already been a few 100 / 200 IMs where i know it didn’t register the split until my feet hit despite my hand touching. granted i’m just a masters swimming who doesn’t swim nearly as fast as these guys, but lasco did slow down considerably at the wall so it’s feasible.
Bjorn going 7 strokes out 9 back is kinda foul
That’s a really fast BR split for Lasco
Probably didn’t actually go 27.9. If you watch the video, Lasco is well ahead of Jake Foster after back but the splits say they touched at the same time.
non americans are about to win the 500 200 IM and 50 free tonight
In the 1770’s Americans tore away from the British Empire. One of the issues at the forefront were the British strictures on immigration. It’s great to see hard-working men and women find success in America.
marchand was chillllinnnnn in that 2IM…
You guys are about to fall prey one again to thinking a swimmer fading is him/her shutting it down. Marchand was under Dressels record at 150. He needs to split it better if he wants to get to the record.
That last kick out looked pretty hard for sure, but he was lazy into the touch.
Dressel’s free split was very strong; being under his record pace at the 150 seems like a good plan for anyone who wants to lower it.
This aged very poorly…
