Missed out on streaming the last finals session of the 2021 Pro Swim Series in Indianapolis? Well, sit back and catch up because SwimSwam has all the race videos right here. On Saturday night, the finals of the women’s and men’s 100 back, 200 breast, 50 free, 200 IM, and 800 free.
In the women’s 50 free, Kate Douglass blasted a lifetime best of 24.54, easily defeating Erika Brown and Catie Deloof. That swim passes Erika Brown to enter the all-time US rankings at No. 10. Cracking into the top-10 in the world for this year, Hunter Armstrong dropped nearly a second from his swim from prelims to take first ahead of Matt Grevers and Will Grant. He now sits as the third fastest American in the event this year, ranked behind Justin Ress and Ryan Murphy. Michael Andrew then handily won the men’s 200 IM final, leading the race from start to finish. With his time he now sits at No. 4 in the world rankings this season.

Douglass has a nice smooth stroke you don’t often see in a 50.
Good swim by MA. The turns. None of his turns were exactly pretty. Particularly the fly-to-back turn. Just popped up really quickly. The freestyle is still not there, even though he is 6 5, it looks like he has the arms of someone who is 5ft 6. Fly, back, and breast looked great though.
Agreed. His freestyle stroke is so short….would love to see him stretch out that stroke. I wonder how many strokes he took on that last 50.
