WATCH: Summer McIntosh Makes SCY Debut with 5 Meet Records at Winter Juniors – East

2022 WINTER JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS – EAST

All signs point to Canadian sensation Summer McIntosh going pro instead of swimming collegiately, but her SCY debut at Winter Juniors gave a glimpse of the damage she could already be doing in the NCAA at just 16 years old.

McIntosh left Greensboro with four individual victories and five meet records. On Saturday, she pulled off an incredible triple with wins in the 200-yard backstroke (1:49.97), 200 butterfly (1:51.40), and 400 free relay (47.88 leadoff leg).

She became the second-fastest performer ever in the women’s 500-yard freestyle with a 4:27.52 before moving up to No. 7 in the all-time 200 free rankings with a 1:40.63. Both of those times would have won an NCAA title last season.

Relive McIntosh’s highlights through her race videos below:
