Select finals races from day 1 of swimming at the 2018 Asian Games are leaking out onto YouTube, including the men’s 200 free, where China’s Sun Yang won his first Asian Games gold in the event; the men’s 200 fly, where Japan’s Daiya Seto repeated as champion; and a piece of the women’s 1500 free, where Chinese swimmers Wang Jianjiahe and Li Bingji battled, before Wang eventually took the title.

Wait! Did he get his teeth fixed?! Hard to tell.
PS-I got Veeners in the past year and love them.
Well 58.2 final 100, 27.8 final 50 for Li Bingjie in the 1500.
I hate to be this guy, but;
The Chinese had those supersonic final 50s between 2008-2013. Zhang Lin, Zhao Jing, Jiao Liuyang, Ye Shiwen, Sun Yang, Li Xuanxu etc.
Soon after, Trimetazidine (what Sun Yang was banned for taking) went on the prohibited list, and those supersonic final sprints dried up. Sun Yang actually got chased down in the final 50m of the 200 at 2015 Worlds. Ye Shiwen lost her finishing kick.

What was Zhao Jing’s finishing 50? Just curious I can’t find it anywhere but I know it’s out there somewhere. I know Seebohm comes home under 30 when she breaks 1:06, but I’m curious what Zhao went.
200 back @ 2010 Asian Games.. i think it was the first time someone got really close to Egerszegi in textile

And if they are, it’s the same questions you get around Team Sky’s TUEs, should that be applauded or frowned upon?
In the world of business (and sport is big business now), gaining an advantage by a legal loophole such as tax efficiencies is actively encouraged. Should sport be held to the higher standard of sportsmanship still, or should winning be the same as profit, to be pursued by all legal means?
As I have said on her quite recently, personally, I am no fan of a certain few British cyclists who imo have played the system. I wouldn’t call it cheating, but personally it leaves a sour taste in my mouth.
I think it depends on your outlook. For me, I’d want to see what my body was capable of by the most natural means possible. For many others, I’m sure glory is more important and they’re willing to assist their bodies capabilities.
Li with a 27.8 on the last 50 of her 1500
Damn
Did you hear the pole hoisting the flags fell during the medal ceremony?
Sun Yang is doing dolphin kicks now!!?
