Watch Time Lapse Construction of World Cup High Diving Tower (Video)

The 3rd FINA High Diving World Cup took place from February 27 to February 29, 2016 at the Abu Dhabi International Marine Sport Club in the United Arab Emirates. Sponsored by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and the UAE Swimming Federation, the event brought together many of the best divers from across the globe: Australia, Belarus, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Columbia, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Luxembourg, Mexico, Poland, Russia, Ukraine, and United States.

The men divers competed from a 27m platform while the women dove from a 20m platform. After two days of preparation, Nüssli built the platform over a ten-day period. The construction includes an 8-meter structure beneath the surface in addition to the diving platform 27-meters in the air.

Take a look at how the construction came together, as shown in this time-lapse video.

You can find the detailed results of the competition here.
