Watch The Transformation Herning Facility Live

Just 12 days before the Jyske Bank Boxen facility in Herning, Denmark will host the 2013 European Short Swimming Championships in December the facility will host over 12,500 spectators who will be taking in a concert put on by Depeche Mode.

The transformation of the facility from concert venue to hosting the European Championships will take 10 days. The process will see two pools added to the venue, one competition and one for warm up and swim down, requiring 2.4 million litres of water and a change in the seating plan from 12,500 to a capacity of 6,300 spectators.

Being the first multiflexible event venue in Denmark the facility is taking great pride in being able to make such a huge transformation in the 10 days it has to get ready for the competition and they will be streaming the transformation of the facility live on their website.

Jyske Bank Boxen is part of a much larger vision for the Herning area that by 2025 will include infrastructure / highway, Multi Arena, Stadium Business Park, Drive-in cinema, Adventure Land and Cable car.
