Waukesha South-Catholic Memorial Move Up To Lead WISCA Poll

After the first WISCA poll of the new year was released January 1st, the second poll has shown a change in leaders in the men’s division 1.

Madison Memorial was leading as of January 1st with 540 points, but fell to fourth in the most recent poll with only 438 points.

Both Waukesha South-Catholic Memorial and Madison West moved up big-time to pass Madison Memorial and take the first and second rankings respectively. Waukesha South-Catholic Memorial now leads with 498 points to Madison West‘s 486.

Arrowhead still sits in third.

Brookfield Central had a huge move up – pushing their way into the top 10 rankings. They moved up 10 placements to earn the number six spot. Franklin also moved into the top 10 rankings, sitting in seventh overall.

Both Neenah, which was ranked sixth on January 1st, and Hudson which was ranked 10th, are out of the top 10 this week.

As far as division 2 is concerned, the leadership hasn’t changed over the last week. Monona Grove is still leading, although their overall point total has fallen a little, but they’re still way ahead of their competitors.
The biggest news in the division is that Grafton moved up an astounding 15 spots to take the number 2 ranking this week, bumping Madison Edgewood to third and Nicolet to fourth.
The bottom three schools from last week’s rankings, Elkhorn Area, Fort Atkinson, and River Falls all fell out of the top 10.
