Any update on this meet? We have a group registered from south Florida and we’ve purchased flights and hotel. This rumors are unsettling.
What a hilarious excuse that the meet can’t happen in 2023 because international associations are too focused on their Olympic swimmers.
Where are you hearing it’s cancelled?
What?…wait, it got canceled?
Seems like a desperate grab for attendance at this point for an “international” meet in 2 months who currently boast Puerto Rico as the closest participant to being international on the website

25 meters? Come on! Go with either SCY or LCM. These SCM meets have to stop. No one cares about SCM.
We can agree to disagree. SCM is more beneficial to international swimmers based in the USA or dual citizens trying to qualify for high level meets. SCY only works in USA and nowhere else. This meet could potentially help swimmers to qualify for SC World Championships. I’m not looking for your approval, just given an opinion.
2024? I thought this was happening this December (2023)?
I’m confused for this as well. The meet packet I have says 2023
This will come off as a rumor, but I heard from our team that the 2023 version of this was canceled this week.
They better let those who registered, bought tickets, reserved hotels, ect know something soon so we can find another meet
Must be true what they say. Meters is all that matters.
I think this is a great idea. Definitely something I would have loved to participate in as a kid.
I also like the single age format. I can attest that moving from 14 years old to 15 years old and suddenly competing against everyone (even Olympians!) was absolutely brutal.
Interesting concept of having everyone’s age be their year of birth, too. At first, I was not on board given it seems more fair to measure “age” as accurately as possible, but I actually see the benefit now in that it doesn’t have kids age up halfway through a season, keeps relays together, etc. It is how (most of) the rest of the world does it, after all.
Age on day is way better than birth year.
Australia does age on the day.
