The 2023-2024 college season is nearly upon us with intrasquads and dual meets beginning as early as this week. Looking ahead to the 2024 championship season, we’ve compiled where and when the Division I mid-major conferences are holding their respective meets this season.
Some teams have shuffled around, however, one of the most notable differences is that the Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association (CCSA) has transformed into the ASUN. Joining the former CCSA members on the men’s side will be SMU and Florida Atlantic.
The women’s side of the CCSA-turned-ASUN lost James Madison, Georgia Southern, and Old Dominion to the Sun Belt Conference, which announced this spring that it will sponsor swimming & diving this season. Campbell also departed the CCSA/ASUN for the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA).

When do tickets for the 2025 ACC Champs go on sale? I’m in for an all-session pass. Do you think it will be split by gender or they keep everyone together due to coaching/budgeting purposes? The GAC can definitely facilitate them all at once I’d think.
Looks like some conferences are very weak. Perhaps more mergers would take care of that. By dividing conferences into east and west as in the SEC, less travel, more teams, but greater strength as a conference would be the outcome
which mid-major conference had the most NCAA qualifiers?
My guess is it was the Ivy League, at least for men. I think you would also want to know who actually made it into the meet vs being below the cutoff. That’s a very good question.
I believe, if memory serves, on the Men’s side that Ivy League had the most with 7 and on the Women’s side, the MAC and the Mountain West both had 5 qualifiers.
St. Francis, NY, does not have a team anymore
Having your conference meet right below the altitude adjustment cutoff is crazy
Better that than east LA
The MPSF could just as easily find another neutral site like MWC does (that is closer to sea level)
The budgets for some of the MPSF schools are not on the same level as most of the MWC schools. The number of indoor, championship caliber pools out West is very small.
My MPSF distance swimmer concurs.
They need to hurry up with the replacement pool for Belmont shores
