Winter Juniors Qualifier Meredith Geyer Verbally Commits to McKendree

Meredith Geyer has verbally committed to McKendree University. Coach Jimmy Tierney has started a very exciting new program that has its first meet this weekend. Mere is super excited to be part of this up and coming team and hopes to make the Bearcat team even better next year.”

Geyer is from Germantown, Tennessee. She attends Germantown High School and is a three-time state finalist for the Red Devils. At the 2016 Tennessee State High School Championships, Geyer placed sixth in the 200 free and seventh in the 100 free. The previous year she had been sixth in the 100 free.

Geyer also competes for Germantown Center Swim Team. She competed at 2016 NCSA Spring Swimming Championships in the 50/100/200 free and 200 back. At the end of the summer she swam at the Southeastern Zone Senior Long Course Championships and finaled in numerous events, including 100/200m free, 50/100/200m back, and 200m IM.

Her best SCY times are:

  • 50 free – 24.30
  • 100 free – 52.06
  • 200 free – 1:52.20
  • 100 back – 57.58
  • 200 back – 2:04.28
  • 100 fly – 57.89
  • 200 IM – 2:09.97

Geyer will join the McKendree University women’s swimming and diving team with Karlie Rimat, another verbal commit to the class of 2021.
