The final Wisconsin high school rankings before the 2016 state championships have dropped, with defending state champs Madison Memorial and Monona Grove maintaining their #1 ranks.
In the big school class, Division 1, Madison Memorial leads city rival Madison West. Memorial has won the last five state titles, with West finishing second for each of the past three years. West jumped over Arrowhead this week for the #2 rank heading into the state meet.
In Division 2, for the state’s smaller high schools, Monona Grove leads #2 Shorewood by a wide margin. They’ve got the top seed in five events heading into the state meet, including both the 200 and 500 free with defending state champ Ben McDade.
This is the 10th straight week at #1 for both Memorial and Monona Grove – neither team has been ranked anywhere but #1 this entire season. The state meet will take place at the University of Wisconsin this coming weekend.

RANKINGS METHODOLOGY
The weekly WISCA polls are computer generated and based on the WISCA Top Times database.
The polls are generated at midnight each Sunday. Individuals are scored in their top two scoring events only.
Points are awarded as follows:
Individuals: 1st Place – 30 points – 30th Place – 1 point (1 point increments)
Relays: 1st Place – 60 points – 30th Place – 2 points (2 point increments)
