Women’s NCAA DI Entry Updates: Nevada and Notre Dame Pulled From Eligible Relay Lists

The NCAA posted an updated invited relay list today for the Women’s NCAA D1 Championships. The original list had Nevada’s 800 freestyle relay listed as eligible and both of Notre Dame’s medley relays listed as eligible. The updated sheets posted today do not have Nevada or Notre Dame listed as eligible for any relays.

Nevada has the provisional standard in the 800 freestyle relay but not the qualifying standard. Without the qualifying standard or 4 individually invited swimmers, they are not eligible for relays. Notre Dame is in the same boat. They had the provisional standard for both medley relays, but were just off of the qualifying standard. Emma Reaney is their only individual qualifier, so they do not qualify to swim relays with 4 invited individual swimmers either.

The List of Eligible institutions for Relays are below:

The only other change for the women’s entry is in the alternate lists. Minnesota’s Brianne Siwicki scratched from the women’s 1650 freestyle. She was the third alternate for the meet prior to scratching.

I don’t think there is a school called Nevada? There’s University of Nevada Reno and University of Nevada Las Vegas
