  • 50-Meter Course

The final session of the Chinese Summer National was a relatively quiet one, with no big times dropped, but there were still a few close races to excite the fans at the Ganzhou Sports Center Natatorium.

Zhihao Zhang opened up the night by taking the mens’s 50 breast in 27.75.  Junyang Feng followed that with a 31.91 to win the same event for the women, touching just 0.o7 seconds ahead of Junyang Zhang.

The short events continued with the men’s 50 free, won by Zhao Xianjian with a 22.71.

The 200 IMs were up next.  Zhou Min took the women’s race in 2:12.02, winning by well over two seconds.  It was much closer on the men’s side of things, where Ziqi Deng narrowly won the men’s race by 0.07 seconds, touching in 2:03.02.

Next, Junxuan Yang was victorious in the women’s 200 back, registering a time of 2:11.63 and just touching ahead of Xuwei Peng‘s 2:11.71.

Xu Yang wrapped up the night of competition by winning the men’s 100 back with a time of 55.51, just four-hundreths of a second ahead of Tianhu Cheng.  That’s well off of countryman’s Jiayu Xu‘s near-world record back in April.
