Yale Adds Speedo Juniors Finalist Eunice Lee for 2024

Fitter and Faster Swim Camps is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.

Eunice Lee, a Speedo Juniors finalist from San Jose, California, has announced her commitment to Yale University beginning in the fall of 2024. She currently attends Archbishop Mitty High School and swims with the Santa Clara Swim Club.

“I am so excited to announce my verbal commitment to the admissions process at Yale University!! A huge thank you to my family, friends, and coaches for their endless support throughout this process!! I can’t wait to be a part of this amazing team! Go Bulldogs!”

Lee competed at the Speedo Junior Championships in August of 2022, racing to a 20th place finish in the 200 IM and 33rd in the 400 IM (LCM). She also competed on the 400 medley and 800 freestyle relays. In the 200 IM she dropped .01 seconds from earlier in the summer, ultimately finishing in 2:18.87

Best Times SCY:

  • 200 back- 2:01.27
  • 100 breast- 1:04.38
  • 200 breast- 2:17.58
  • 200 IM- 2:01.09
  • 400 IM- 4:16.86

More Recently, Lee swam at the Speedo Junior Championships West. There, she swam the 200 back, 100 breast, 200 breast, 200 IM, and 400 IM (all SCY). Her best finish of the meet came in the 200 IM, where she placed 22nd overall with a time of 2:01.09. Over the course of the weekend, she dropped a total of .75 seconds in that event.

At the 2023 Ivy League Championships, the Yale women swam to a 3rd place finish out of 8 teams.

With another year of high school to go, Lee’s best times would already have qualified her for finals at the Ivy League Championships. In the 400 IM, she would have been 8th overall, just behind Yale’s top finisher Olivia Paoletti in 7th. She would have been 8th in the 200 IM as well, this time just behind Yale’s Alex Massey in 7th.

Both Paoletti and Massey were juniors this season, meaning Lee will be able to step into their spots in 2024.
